Despite an admonition by commissioner Roger Goodell on Monday, Pittsburgh Steelers S Troy Polamalu reiterated his call Tuesday for current players and team officials to play a role in the process of disciplining players for on-field infractions. Goodell, whom Polamalu said last week held too much power over players, said that the league is not entertaining the idea of having active players and team officials have input into the process.air max penny Air Yeezy But Polamalu said the NFL, which is raising the stakes on discipline imposed for illegal on-field hits, must do more to earn the players' trust in the process. "When I appeal or anyone appeals, we appeal to the same person who gave us the fine. ... I just think it could be cleaned up a little bit," Polamulu said on the Dan Patrick radio show. "The fines are so big right now -- $50,000, $75,000. We just gotta make sure we're fining people for the right reason."air max 90 air max 95 The NFL fined Green Bay Packers S Nick Collins $50,000 on Monday for an illegal hit on Dallas Cowboys WR Roy Williams a day before. He became the fifth player hit with a fine of at least $50,000 in the last month. "You can have former players, maybe one offensive and defensive player from each team. ... Maybe coaches involved." Goodell said Monday he is content with the current process, in which a committee of league officials confers with former players and coaches in the disciplinary process. air max 180 air max 2009
